Cheney in '08!!

That headline should grab some attention.

The Denver Post is reporting Bob Woodward's speech on Tuesday hinted at Cheney running in 2008. LINK.

The logic, an excerpt:

"He would be 67 if he ran and was elected. Reagan was 69. Republicans always like the old warhorse. ... Nixon was 68," said Woodward, best known for exposing the Watergate scandal that led to Richard Nixon's resignation in 1974. "Both parties like to nominate vice presidents. ... Cheney would do it, and I think it's highly likely, so stay tuned."

This is exactly what Woodward said, almost word for word, on CNN's reliable sources about a month ago. This time, it's made it to Kos.

Bob's just playing games, guys.

That title is the stuff of nightmares. As he famously said of Mr. Gore in 2000, "We are all a little weary of the [Bush-Cheney] routine. But the wheel has turned. And it is time, it is time for them to go."

McCain v. Wes Clark in 2008

I would even take Giuliani as a GOP candidate, since he is at least an outsider to the current administration.

Cheney is not in good enough health to campaign.

I like both Clark and McCain. Something tells me that they both have the moral center that leads one to ask questions and make good decisions, not follow the wolf pack as it howls 'right, right, right.'
