Peter Jennings

A very good point, an interesting point, from Jeff Greenfield on CNN this morning, which I did not enter into the morning update.

To paraphrase Greenfield, it is particularly unfortunate to lose Jennings while there is so much unrest in the Middle East. That was a region that the 67-year-old understood well, and given his talents as a Managing Editor, no doubt ABC News would have done great service under his stewardship over this decade and the next, if only.
