If only we'd see an Antietiam

Or, a Gettysburg.

The Boston Globe:
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice offered a parallel between critics of the administration's Iraq policies and critics of the Civil War. In both conflicts, it was the right decision to fight and see the wars through, Rice said in an interview with Essence Magazine. ``I'm sure that there were people who said, `why don't we get out of this now, take a peace with the South, but leave the South with slaves,' " she said. Rice is kind of an “intellectual” speleologist, constantly exploring new lows in the metaphoric abyss of Neocon ideology.

After the “birth pangs” bloodbath of President Bushmert, she has the nerves to call Iraq “the Civil War of our times”…

And after all why not?

Saddam’s thick oriental moustache was one of the main reasons used in the columns of the National Review to “prove” the Stalinist nature of the Baath regime!

Louisiana’s Mansura (May 16, 1864) was one of the main battles of the Civil War: and it’s no coincidence the Iraqi town of Mansurah is located in the highly Saddamist “Sunni triangle”…

Condi is Rice, I mean is Right: history just repeats itself!
